Marine Steam Engines

Marine steam power proved to be a remarkable success story.
One only has to look at a vessel such as the QE2, which is still powered, by steam to drive the two massive turbine engines. This developed some 110,000 shaft horsepower that could achieve a speed of 32 knots (37 mph).
However, a more humble but possibly best known example of steam energy in conventional use would be the African Queen, as featured in the film with Humphrey Bogart and Kathrine Hepburn.
Whether your boat building project is simple or sophisticated, we are confident that a suitable unit can be found within our range.
